Salonmesse im Museum Villa Rot / Salon Fair at Museum Villa Rot

10 Years of Roter Kunstsalon – and we’re part of it!

Our fifth time at the Roter Kunstsalon – celebrating the anniversary at Museum Villa Rot.
The Roter Kunstsalon 2025 is something special: for the tenth time, the villa and art hall in Burgrieden-Rot will transform into a vibrant meeting place for contemporary art. Curated to the highest standard, the fair brings together renowned galleries from Germany and abroad – and we are proud to be part of it for the fifth time.

For more than 30 years, Museum Villa Rot has been among the leading art institutions in southern Germany. More than 600 artists have exhibited here, including Joseph Beuys, Cindy Sherman, Ai Weiwei, Willi Siber, and Lili Fischer. These names stand for the international stature of the museum – and for the unique atmosphere that makes the Roter Kunstsalon so exceptional.

We look forward to presenting our artists and works in this anniversary year – and warmly invite you to join us at Museum Villa Rot.

Präsentierte Künstlerinnen / Presented Artists

We present quiet strength. Our artists move within psychologically dense, atmospherically charged visual worlds – often subtle, yet filled with inner tension. At the center is art that does not explain itself but simply resonates: sensual, serious, multi-layered. What does not reveal itself immediately endures – and unfolds its power where words fall short. Alongside these quiet tones, we also present works of radiant abundance: powerful in color, emotionally charged, vital – an expression of a world that does not hold back, but shines.

DYNAMIC DUALITY

MARIO DALPRA
MICHAEL HITSCHO

Opening on June 1 from 8 pm
Artist talk from approx. 20:15
Both artists will be present

MARIO DALPRA

Dalpra's ability to transform everyday observations into profound, aesthetically intense compositions is evident in both art forms. His works convey emotions and narrative elements ranging from humorous to dramatic scenes. Despite his subjective handwriting, the formal composition remains in the foreground and creates a dynamic connection between graphic and painterly elements.

His artistic work, influenced by his travels and exposure to different cultures, results in a unique synthesis of form, color and content. Dalpra's works invite the viewer to immerse themselves in a world beyond the everyday, offering new perspectives and insights. This evolution of his style reflects his openness to different cultural influences and challenges the viewer to rethink their own perceptions.

Dalpra's meticulous attention to detail and his blend of traditional techniques and contemporary themes make his art both timeless and relevant. His use of bright colors and intricate patterns enhances the visual appeal and adds depth to the narratives. Through his art, Dalpra creates a dialog between the past and the present and encourages exploration of the human experience. To summarize, Dalpra's artistic work is proof of his extraordinary ability.

MICHAEL HITSCHOLD

Michael Hiltschold has been active as an artist for over 20 years and produces impressive steel sculptures in his forge. His art aims to trigger a cognitive process in the viewer by breaking and transcending conventional notions of space and time. These sculptures are snapshots of dancing gestures that capture grace in the light of eternity.

The forms of his steel sculptures are created in the process and are influenced by his momentary feelings and inspirations. The works are not only an expression of his inner world, but also a reflection of the natural and cultural environment of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, where he lives and works. The connection to his adopted homeland is reflected in the organic yet structured nature of his sculptures. His works are currently on display at the ALRov MamiLLa Municipal Gallery in Jerusalem.

At the same time, Hiltschold presents photographic essences of his sculptures reproduced on wood, as seen here. These digitally generated works offer a universal representation of his steel sculptures, which can only be experienced from one perspective, and expand the visual experience through the contrast of photography and steel.
