Rencontre Wismar : Berlin is a guest exhibition in the Galerie Kristine Hamann by the Berlin-based Galerie Semjon Contemporary. Galerist Semjon H. N. Semjon has brought artwork from nine of his gallery's artists from the capital to contrast them with six handpicked artists from Galerie Kristine Hamann in Wismar. The artworks will be staged in a salon hang with the intention of exploring their commonalities, divergences, disparities and affinities with regards to both form and content. The emphasis is on abstraction, although the figurative, the (ostensibly) natural, the sensual and poetic will not be neglected. Semjon H. N. Semjon has composed the artworks so as to create an almost orchestral Gesamtwerk, one however in which each individual piece still stands for itself alone. The artworks on display refer to the world, carrying within themselves the legacy of that which has already been created:
